Senator Ned Nwoko has emerged as one of the top-performing senators in Nigeria, sponsoring a record number of bills and motions that address critical national issues.

A special report by the Senate leadership has ranked Senator Ned Nwoko among the senators with the highest legislative impact, recognizing his efforts to promote good governance and development in Nigeria.

Adjudged as one of the Senators with the most bills among the 109 Senators, the report which is subtitled a “Summary of the Senate Amendment Bills under the 10th Senate of the National Assembly” showed that Senator Nwoko initiated 5 bills out of about 30 bills specially listed for deliberation by the Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution.

His bill on Anioma state creation was the only one of such bill listed for consideration, a testament of the seriousness attached to the draft legislation.

Bills on Diaspora voting, Parliamentary System of Government, Local Government Autonomy and life- saving medical aid on Emergency also featured as dominant themes in the constitution review.

Senator Nwoko had also distinguished himself as a vocal lawmaker with trenchant advocacy on critical national issues.
