The chairman of Isoko South Local Government council of Delta state, Comrade Friday Ovoke Warri and the state commissioner for environment, Ejiro Jamani, have tasked residents to imbibe the habit of regular cleaning of their environment to protect community health.

The two leader made the call on Saturday at Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South during the November end of month sanitation exercise.

Speaking separately at the popular Yanga market in Oleh, Warri and Jamani, warned traders against any form of indiscriminate and unlawful trading on government right of way, saying offenders shall be dealt with according to the law even as they directed traders around the popular Yanga market to move out of their shops and participate in environmental sanitation exercise.

According to the environment commissioner, sustainable development can only be achieved if the environment is properly taken care of, which will in turn attract outsiders.

The commissioner however stressed the importance of traders adhering to government regulations during their business operations.
