The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Hon. Elder Godwin Ogorugba, has urged residents in riverine communities and flood-prone areas to relocate to higher ground due to rising flood levels.

Ogorugba made the appeal on Monday, advising residents to gather their farm products and move their families to safer areas, promising to inform them if relocation to government IDP camps becomes necessary.

He, however joined the people to pray to God Almighty for the looming flood to rescind, saying, “with God all things are possible”.

“A clean environment is what guarantees a healthy living and it must be everyone’s business to keep Isoko North clean.”, Ogorugba said.
