Rep Ibori-Suenu Congratulates ALGON’s Newly Appointed DG, Itiako Ikpokpo

Member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency, Hon. Ehriatake Ibori-Suenu, has congratulated the new Director General, Association of Local Government of Nigeria ( ALGON), Hon. Itiako Ikpokpo, on his appointment.

The lawmaker, in a congratulatory letter to the new ALGON helmsman, described Ikpokpo’s appointment as affirmation of the, “confidence reposed on you and your capacity to reposition this great institution to render service for the betterment of local government administration in Nigeria.

She added further that, the new DG’s appointment, “will provide a veritable platform for you to show case the talent and capacity, for which Delta State is renowned.

The Chairman of the House of Representatives committee on NDDC, however expressed hope that, the new role will provide platform for Ikpokpo to put to good use the knowledge and experience he acquired as a former Council Chairman and grassroots mobilizer.

The new ALGON DG, who has since resumed at the headquarters of the organisation, which is the umbrella body of all Council Chairmen in Nigeria, was a former Council Chairman of Isoko South LGA.
