‘Baba Ijebu Lottery’ Attendant Declared Missing As Journalist Raises Alarm Of Her Whereabouts

An attendant of Premier Lotto, the lottery business popularly known as ‘Baba Ijebu’, Miss Sonia Osahenoma Osayande, has been declared missing two days after she left home in Benin, Edo State.

She was last seen on her way to her place of work around 8:am on the 13th of December, 2023, at the Second youth layout, Off Iguomo Road, off Benin Agbor road Benin city, where she work as a Baba Ijebu attendant, at Goshen Garden Estate, Amufi Benin city.

A statement on behalf of her family signed by a veteran journalist and Guardian newspaper reporter, Julius Osahon, said that the entire families of Late Pius Osayande are worried over her whereabouts since she left for work and has not returned two days after.

Osahon who described the missing girl as his younger sister, said she left home before 8:am on Wednesday, the 13th of December, 2023, and is yet to return home and her phone switched off since then.

As at when she was last seen, according to him, she wore a short haircut tinted in golden color.

Osahon who said that the girl has been leaving with his family since her secondary school education at Asoro Grammar School, Asoro, Benin city and her OND at Auchi Poly where she read Accountancy, said she is preparing to go back for her HND in same school next year.

The statement said; “Presently the family has been doing everything to trace her whereabouts and no clue yet.

“We are using this medium to call on the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies as well as members of the public to help in getting our daughter back alive.

“The mother is currently on coma and have not recovered from the shock of her disappearance since two days ago.

“Osahenoma, was a good girl, never slept out when at home, she was quiet, ambitious and her ambition was to be one of the best accountant in Nigeria.

“I am using this opportunity to call on the security agencies in Nigeria to help us to find our daughter and possibly fish out those behind her disappearance”, the statement added.
