Court Of Appeal Orders Delta Guber Tribunal To Revisit Labour Party’s Petition

The Court of Appeal has ordered the Delta State governorship election petition tribunal to revisit the petition filed by the Labour Party’s candidate Ken Pella.
This follows the dismissal of the petition by the tribunal originally, which had challenged the election of the PDP candidate, Sheriff Oborevwori.
Mr. Pella had appealed to the court of Appeal, asking for a retrial due to some anomalies witnessed at the lower court; and now, with this judgment, the tribunal is required to reconvene in coming days to hear the Labour Party’s petition once again.
It will be interesting to see how this new development will play out, and what its implications will be for all parties.
