Grace Moses, alleged 'Gov Sanwo-Olu Babymama'

In what appears to be an astonishing revelation, a woman by name Grace Moses who claimed to be erstwhile girlfriend of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, on Tuesday, gave a graphic details how she was impregnated and abandoned by the Yoruba boy friend identified as Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

BIGPEN NIGERIA (www.bigpenngr.com) reports that Grace made the revelation while fielding questions from journalists at the Delta High Court 2, Uvwie, Delta State, presided over by Justice Rolly Daibo-Harriman.

She spoke just after the paternity case brought before the court by her 27-year-old son, Emmanuel Moses Sanwo-Olu, which was last adjourned from December was re-adjoured to Tuesday, February 13, 2023.

In the Suit NO.: EHC/148/2022 BETWEEN Emmanuel Moses Sanwo-Olu and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Claimant averred through his lawyer, Mr. John Aikpokpo-Martins Esq., said that he was the conjugal product of a congenial relationship which existed between his mother, Grace Moses and the Defendant in 1994/95.

Grace Moses, gave details of her romance with the Lagos governor in 1994 when the latter was in the employ of Saipem, an oil and gas company with operational base in Warri.

The 47-year-old Grace said within the first two months of their amorous relationship, she got pregnant for Sanwo-Olu and they both went to a hospital in Agbarho, a suburb of Warri to abort the pregnancy.

According to her, the following day, Sanwo-Olu still slept with her in spite of the previous day’s abortion.

Grace added that barely a month after the abortion, she got pregnant again which eventually culminated in the birth of Moses, his son in contention.

She said: “If I close my eyes, I’ll recognise Sanwo-Olu. I know his face, his movement, his left handedness; over the years I’d looked for him.

“I went to Epe to see the mother, but they didn’t allow us, because he told me then that his mother lives in Epe.

“We dated in 1994. I gave birth to my son in 1995. We dated for about two months before I got pregnant.

“We went to abort the pregnancy together; we returned home and that night he still made love to me again.

“In about a month, I got pregnant again for him. That led to the birth of Emmanuel Two of my sisters know Sanwo-Olu. One is dead now. The other is still alive.

“He used to come over to our house at Kolokolo with a Hilux, come down, drop some money, buy drinks for my sister and leave. In two days, he’d be back again.

“He usually came in the night.
That time I was helping my sister to trade, he’d pick me in the night. My elder sister who’s still alive can recognise him well.

“My son was always on my neck to disclose the identity of his father to me. Often, I quarrel with him and shouted at him to stop asking.

“My son is also left-handed so I told him that’s one of the traits of his Yoruba father.

“I was in the creek one day when my son called me to hurry back home. I took a speedboat back to Warri and he presented three pictures of three different men asking me to pick who my father is.

“After choosing Sanwo-Olu, my son then opened a TV channel and asked me to examine Sanwo-Olu which I did. He now told me he’s the governor of Lagos State. I told him I wasn’t aware.

“After that, some of my brothers followed us to Lagos, Epe and Island to see if we could find his mother, we couldn’t. We even met a Baale.”

Emmanuel Sanwo-Olu, father-of-three, when asked if his presumed father had contacted him since the December adjournment, said he hasn’t.

“Since I spoke to journalists last December, asking for Sanwo-Olu to agree to a DNA test, he hasn’t reached me.

“I was worried that if my mom dies, I’d be left with no close relative let alone a father. I know some of my friends whose father’s are Yoruba and they’re very nice.

“I was now wondering why my on Yoruba father would abandon me to suffer like that.

“So, one day I saw Sanwo-Olu on television and I called my mom to identify him and she did. We then gathered money and went to Lagos to look for him but we couldn’t find him.

“I went on Instagram and saw his photos which I printed as proofs. I just want to know my father, if he accepts me, no problem, if he doesn’t, I’d continue with my life. I’m not out to destroy his marriage,” he enthused.

Meanwhile, counsel to the claimant, Mr. John Aikpokpo-Martins Esq, confirmed the February 13 adjournment date, while declining to speak further.

He had earlier explained that “the lawyers to Sanwo-Olu, Templas Law Firm, had earlier filed a motion to strike out the matter on the grounds that the governor was not ready to wave his immunity,” for a DNA test, which the complainant is demanding.

In his Writ of Summons issued by J. O. Aikpokpo-Martins, Esq., the Claimant is praying the court for the following:

“A declaration that the Defendant is the biological father of the Claimant begotten from Madam Grace Moses of Oleri, Delta State.

“An order directing and compelling the Defendant to acknowledge and accord the claimant all the rights of a son in accordance with all the laws applicable whether customarily, statutorily or constitutionally.
