2023: Uduaghan On The Move Again, Canvasses “5 Over 5 Victory” For PDP In Delta

…Rallies Itsekiri PDP leaders ahead next year polls

Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, the former governor of Delta State, is back in action and working tirelessly to ensure that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wins the general election scheduled for the following year.

This time, Uduaghan is bringing together Itsekiri PDP figures from the three Warri local government areas and canvassing ‘5 over 5 victory’ for the party in the state.

At the meeting, Dr. Uduaghan, according to a statement on Sunday, patiently listened to each leader who had complaints or qualms about the most recent party primaries during a meeting with the leaders that was held at his home in GRA Warri.

In his remarks, Uduaghan emphasised that the PDP is a large family and urged each of the party’s leaders to play their part in uniting the group and securing a 5 over 5 victory for the PDP in the general elections of 2023.

He also offered words of encouragement to those who were defeated in the party primaries, including his daughter Orode.

“My appeal to you all is that whatever someone or somebody has done against you during the primaries, forgive them and move forward in the interest of the party.

“Whether or not you like the faces of the people who got the tickets, the reality is that they are our party’s candidates now. So, please forgive, get up and move on.

“I don’t want us to use our hands to destroy this party we have built over the years due to fear of the unknown.”

The Delta South leader acknowledged the fact that there are challenges in the PDP ahead of the elections but admitted that “with an honest, reconciliatory mind, we can achieve a lot in our party.”

The former governor, who had recently displayed outstanding leadership qualities, reaffirmed that the PDP was one and urged party candidates to cooperate rather than pursue their own interests in opposition.

“Please, candidates, go around and visit your opponents in a brotherly show of humility and sportsmanship.”

“The ticket you have belongs to the party.” In the PDP it is not a winner takes all.” Everyone is a stakeholder. Reach out and extend a hand to them,” the immediate past governor of Delta state admonished, according to a statement by Monoyo Edon, his media assistant.
