PAP SPEAKS ON ITS DELEGATES AND BAZE UNIVERSITY

Published

on

The sincerity of purpose and forthrightness exhibited by the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu (rtd) since he assumed office, has again helped to douse the tension at Baze University as the proprietor of the institution has granted the body some concessions in the payment of its school fees.

It will be recalled that PAP delegates under scholarship at the university were denied the right to sit for their semester examinations this morning.

Again, it is pertinent to state that the university reneged on its earlier agreement with PAP team of negotiators on the modalities of the fee payment.

Hence, management immediately swung into action, intervening in the matter without fail. Moreso, PAP was not put on notice before the decision was taken by the school authorities.

Management in its desire to nip in the bud the hardship the students may be exposed to, was able to extract a reasonable compromise from the university authorities.

However, the PAP is making decisive efforts, amidst the paucity of funds to defray its indebtedness to the school. This hopefully has put paid to the purrile assumption in certain quarters that the management was negligent in its obligation to the students.

Nothing can be far from the truth that management is very strategic in navigating through the myriads of challenges it confronts on daily basis.
