A ghastly motor accident along the Evwreni axis of the East West road, in Ughelli North Local Government area of Delta State, has left three persons dead.

BIGPEN NIGERIA (www.bigpenngr.com) understands that the victims were traveling in a volkswagen golf car when thier vehicle rammed into a trailer along the Evwreni axis.

According to sources, the victims whose identities were not immediately known are believed to be kinsmen from same community and were on their way to a ceremony when the accident took their lives.

Eyewitness said at least three persons were confirmed dead and another critically injured in the accident.

Sources disclosed that victims were rushed to the emergency unit at the Ughelli Central Hospital by men of the Ughelli Unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps where they were confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.

An eyewitness at the scene said that he was able to rescue one victim alive.

When contacted, the unit commander of the Federal Roads Safety Corps in Ughelli Ikechukwu Ken, said they acted through a distress call and confirmed the doctors report on the dead victims.
