APC Chieftain Reportedly Assassinated In Osun

Kazeem Kekere, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has been reportedly assassinated.
Multiple sources revealed that Kekere was trailed to a point in the state where he was killed by suspected gunmen believed to he hired assassins.
The party’s chieftain who is also a Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Apomu branch, in Isokan Local Government Area of the state, was murdered on Saturday night, according to local sources.
The deceased, known as strong APC supporter was said to have used his vintage position as NURTW boss in the council area to mobilise vehicles from his park for APC during the July 16 governorship election to the detriment of other political parties.
It was not clear if his death has anything to do with his role in the last election but local sources claimed that he was trailed Saturday night to a spot in the community where he was found dead.
The source added that the deceased was killed between Oke-Alfa and Timberland area adding that he was pursued by his assailants to the spot.
“Two vehicles followed him to the point where his car was attacked before he was killed”, sources said.
The Secretary, Isokan Local Government, Tajudeen Bello, confirmed the incident adding that, he payed a major role during the last governorship election.
The Chairman of APC in the state, Prince Gboyega Famodun, through his media aide, Kola Olabisi, also confirmed the unfortunate incident.
