Leaked ex-Gov Obiano’s Arrest Shaming Video: EFCC Sanctions Detective
Leaked shaming video of former Anambra Governor, Willie Obiano under custody of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, has landed one of the detectives of the anti-graft agency in trouble.
BIGPENNGR reports that an official of the commission, alleged to be responsible for the leakage of the video has been subjected to appropriate disciplinary action in line with its guiding principles.
The default of the operative is coming as condemnation continued to trail the public video shaming of the former governor who was seen only on a pair of shorts in EFCC’s confinement.
Reaching to the video which had since gone viral, Head, Media and Publicity of the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, said the trending video was not authorised by the anti-graft agency and that it has no place in its mode of operations.
The statement reads: “The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to a trending video showing the former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano in the custody of the Commission.
“The Commission wishes to distance itself from the said video which is completely at variance with the established Standard Operating Procedure of the EFCC.
“A discreet investigation ordered upon discovery of the leak has revealed the errant officer behind the odious act and he is currently being subjected to appropriate disciplinary action”.
