Mobs Raze Police Vehicle As Vigilante Kill Okada Rider In Udu

Irate mobs on Thursday razed a police vehicle following the alleged killing of a commercial motorcycle operator in Udu, near Warri, Delta State.

BIGPENNGR understands that the cyclist was shot dead at the Delta Steel Company permanent camp in the Udu local government area of Delta State.

Local sources said the deceased was reportedly killed by a member of vigilante group attached to a police patrol vehicle.

The development led to an upheaval which snowballed and led to the burning of the police van.

The Delta State police public relations officer PPRO, DSP Edafe Bright disclosed  that the vigilante who reportedly pulled the trigger, is in custody after he was almost killed by the mob.

He, however, denied speculations making the round that the police kill the said victim.
