Torrent Of Salutations As Delta SSG, Chiedu Ebie Turns 50

- Okowa, Uduaghan, Macaulay, Others Pour Encomium
It has been a torrent of outpouring of encomium as Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Mr Chiedu Ebie, turned 50 years on Saturday.
BIGPEN reports that prominent leaders in the state have continued to celebrate Ebie for the feat.
The first in the series of congratulatory messages that greeted the birthday came from Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, the governor thanked Ebie for his outstanding contributions to governance in the state, especially when he was Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, and now, SSG.
He remarked that Ebie, an astute lawyer, has brought to bear in the governance of the state, his experience from his distinguished career in the private sector as an entrepreneur and oil and gas executive.
Okowa urged him to sustain his contributions to state and humanity by enunciating more ideas and strategies that would lead to the efficiency and effectiveness of governance and sustainable development of the state.
He acknowledged Ebie’s sound knowledge of governance, saying “with his core competences in strong leadership and execution skills, Mr Ebie has brought his wealth of experience to bear by providing leadership towards the attainment of the Stronger Delta agenda of our administration.
“Over the years, your sound and unblemished leadership style as an industry player has endeared you to many Deltans and Nigerians.
“As Secretary to State Government, you have exhibited absolute knowledge of your core responsibilities with your robust coordination of government in the state.
“We appreciate your role in the revamping of schools sports through the Zenith Bank Delta Principal’s and Headmaster’s Cup under your tenure as Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education.’’
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I congratulate you, my dear brother and friend, Mr Chiedu Ebie, on the occasion of your 50th birth anniversary.
“As you turn 50, your family and indeed, political and business associates and admirers, have cause to be grateful to Almighty God for having granted you a life of wonderful milestones,” he added.
In the same vein, a former Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay has applauded Ebie on his 50th birthday anniversary.
Macaulay, in a statement issued in Asaba, said that the attainment of the golden age of 50 is a feat worth celebrating particularly for someone who has been diligent and humble in service.
He said that Ebie has carved out a niche for himself by his track record in private and public service, distinguishing himself as a professional and committed technocrat.
Specifically, he acknowledged the SSG’s feat as the State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education noting that his initiatives helped to actualize the SMART Agenda of the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
“Mr. Ebie has distinguished himself in both the private and public sectors and as the SSG, he has remained a quiet lubricant of the efficient operations of the State administration,” he stated.
Macaulay prayed to God to grant him divine health and strength to enable him continue in the service of the people, the State and the nation.
Similarly, the Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, has congratulated the SSG as he clocks 50 years, Jan. 2.
Aniagwu, in a statement in Asaba, described Ebie as an outstanding professional whose accomplishments in private and public service were laudable and worthy of emulation.
He said the State Scribe, has contributed immensely to the realisation of the ‘Smart and Stronger Delta agenda’ of the Okowa led administration in the state.
He commended the former Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education for his laudable contributions towards the growth of grassroot sports in the state.
“On behalf of my family, the Management and Staff of the Delta State Ministry of Information, I congratulate a great son of Ika and an exemplary Deltan, Mr. Chiedu Ebie Esq, as he clocks the golden age today, Jan. 2, 2021.
“As a member of the State Executive Council, I can testify of your sound professionalism and work ethics in handling matters of state.
“Your mastery of governance and coordination of the various ministries, departments, parastatals and agencies of governance is worthy of commendation.
“As Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education from 2015-2019, you were exceptionally committed to the course of leading the ministry to achieve set goals which includes but not limited to the massive renovation and rehabilitation of schools and the revamping of grassroot sports through the Zenith Bank Delta Principal’s and Headmaster’s Cup,” Aniagwu said.
As the SSG turns 50 today, Aniagwu joined family, friends and associates in celebrating Ebie, the technocrat-turned political tactician and quintessential gentleman, and prayed that the Almighty God would strengthen him and grant him good health in his continued service to the state and mankind.
