Sources familiar with the development, disclosed that Okungbowa who was appointed as Head of Service earlier this year by the Obaseki-led government, was seized by gunmen on his way from a church thanksgiving in honour of the governor’s victory at the September poll.

“The Head of Service had attended a thanksgiving service by the Director General of the Edo House, Abuja, Festus Osaigbovo, in honour of Governor Godwin Obaseki and Philip Shaibu’s victory at the September nineteen governorship election and was on his way back when he was hijacked”, sources said.
