Two persons reported died in auto crash at Owhelogbo axis of the Ughelli-Asaba road following the mass protest by indigene of Oleh who block the ever-busy road over the reported gruesome murder of 12 indigenes of the community.

BIGPENNGR.COM understands the victims died following an auto crash involving Agofure Motors and a motorcycle (popularly known as Okada) while trying to maneuver their way out of the traffic jam that built up in the area following the protest at the wee hours of Wednesday.

The protest which started on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 had continued on Wednesday over the delay for justice for the gruesome killing of 12 indigenes, causing heavy gridlock along the route from Oleh roundabout to Owhelogbo junction where the accident happened.

The 12 persons were reportedly killed at Ada farmland along Oleh/Ozoro road where they were hired for farm work on 16th of October 2020 by unknown assailants.

Eyewitness says the Agofure Motor which was heading to Asaba was trying to wiggle out of the gridlock at Owhelogbo junction when the driver ram into an Okada, killing the rider and a passenger on the spot.

“Because of the protest at Oleh roundabout, drivers were now navigating other escape route and that led to the gridlock which stretches from the roundabout to Owhelogbo.

“All vehicle coming from Warri where detouring at Owhelogbo to connect Ozoro so the whole road was jammed. Everyone was battling to escape from the traffic so in the process one Agofure bus ram into an Okada, killing the Okadaman and the passenger.

”The Government must not play politics with this matter”, “Our Son’s and Daughter’s must not die like that” and ”We don’t want war, we want Justice”, “Welfare scheme package for Oleh 12” among others.
