Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Jump By 576 New Infections

Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 576 new confirmed cases of coronavirus and 4 deaths.

This was in additional to the 562 new cases that were earlier reported from 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Monday.

From the figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Nigeria had recorded 37, 801 cases, 15,677 recoveries and recorded 805 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 576 new cases are reported from 22 states.

According to NCDC, Lagos had (88), Kwara (87), FCT (82), Plateau (62), Ondo (39), Enugu (28), Oyo (26), Taraba (24), Kaduna (20), Ebonyi (20),

Edo (17), Cross River (16), Kano (14), Rivers (11), Ogun (10), Delta (9), Nasarawa (8), Osun (8), Katsina (3), Imo (2), while Kebbi and Borno had one each.

NCDC, also said in its website that a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3 would continue to coordinate the national response activities.
