COVID-19 Jerks Up In Nigeria With 643 New Cases, Total Now 34,259

Nigeria has recorded yet another significant increment of coronavirus (COVID-19) infections with 643 new confirmed cases and 6 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing a total of 34, 259 cases nationwide.
Announcing the new figures, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), stated that the number of persons who have been successfully treated and discharged stood at 13. 999.
It also disclosed that 760 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory since the virus started spreading in the country.
According to NCDC, the 643 new cases were reported from 19 states.
Lagos state, according to the figures released Wednesday night reported 230 case. The state has been the epicentre of the virus since it outbreak in the country.
Lagos was closely followed by Oyo with 69 case, coming behind was FCT with (51), Edo (43), Osun (35), Rivers (30) and Ebonyi (30).
Kaduna had (28), Ogun (27), Ondo (23), Plateau (20), Benue (17), Enugu (16), Imo (10), Delta (6), Kano (4), Nasarawa (2), while Kebbi and Ekiti had (1) each.
