APC Yet To Release Authentic Edo Guber Primary Result, Says Uzodinma-led Election C’ttee

The Senator Hope Uzodinma-led Edo State All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship Primary Election Committee, says it was yet to released any results of the ongoing gubernatorial primary in the state.
The committee made this clarification following insinuations making the rounds that “some results” being displayed in the social media would determine the results of the Edo APC primary.
Senator Ajibola Basiru, Secretary of the Edo State APC Governorship Primary Election Committee, in a statement on Monday, said only authenticated results by the Electoral Committee at the end of the exercise will suffice.
He said that the exercise so far has been peaceful and conducted in compliant with the Covid 19 protocols and regulations.
“Voting has been concluded in some wards and few Local Governments in the state and results will be only be announced at the State collation centre.
“It has been drawn to our attention that some results are flying about on social media and we will like to inform the general public not to take any of those results seriously as only authenticated results by the Electoral Committee at the end of the exercise will suffice.
“So far the exercise has been peaceful and Covid 19 Regulations compliant”.
