NDDC Reopens Head Office, Asks Staff To Resume Work

Published

on

The management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has lifted the shutdown of its headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State Capital, while asking all members of staff of the commission to resume work.

This directive is contained in an internal memo from the management of the commission to the Directors, Heads of Department/ Units and all staff.

In the memo signed by Silas Anyanwu and seen by BIGPEN on Monday, NDDC’s management said, the fumigation and decontamination exercise that informed the temporary shutdown of the office complex had been completed, though it added that the testing is still ongoing.

Following this, the management has ”directed the lifting of the shutdown ordered on May 28th as from 18th June, 2020″.

The management asked the staff to be “guided accordingly”

Recall that NDDC IMC had ordered temporary shutdown of the commission’s headquarters and asked the entire staff to submit to Coronavirus test after the death of the late Acting Executive Director on Finance who purportedly died of Corona Virus complications.
