BREAKING: Six NDDC Staff Test Positive For COVID-19 Infection
The Niger Delta Development Commission, on Monday, says six staff of the commission has tested positive for Coronavirus Disease.
According to the interventionist agency which been in the news in recent time for alleged ‘stinking corruption allegations’, the six out of the 33 staff tested worked in the office of the Executive Director (Projects), Dr. Cairo Ojougboh.
In a tweet made on its verified twitter handle in the early hours of Monday, the commission said that the Executive Director (Project), Ojougboh tested negative to the virus.
The tweet said: “As NDDC headquarters staff undergo isolation and Covid19 screening, six of 33 staff members in the Office of the Executive Director (Projects), Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, have tested positive to Covid-19. However, Dr Ojougboh tested negative.”
BIGPEN recalls that NDDC headquarters had earlier been shut down following the confirmation that one of its Directors, Elder Ibanga Bassey Etang, died from complications arising from COVID-19.
