Bauchi Deputy Governor Contracts COVID-19
The Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Baba Tell, has tested positive to COVID-19 in the line of duty as the State Task Force Chairman on COVID-19.
The governor’s Chief of Staff, Laden Salihu confirmed this on his verified twitter handle on Tuesday.
He wrote: “Our Deputy Governor Sen Baba Tela tests positive for Corona Virus.
“He contacted the disease while discharging his duties as The Chairman of the State Task Force on COVID-19.
“Let’s put him and all those infected by the disease in our prayers”.
BIGPEN recalls Bala Mohammed, Bauchi State Governor had earlier tested positive for the deadly virus but recovered from it in mid-March. The governor had the virus after he had contact with the son of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar who had earlier tested positive for coronavirus. They both have since recovered.
