BREAKING: Nigeria COVID-19 Hits 6175, Records 9 New Deaths Within 24Hours

With 216 new positive cases recorded from 15 states and the FCT, Nigeria’s coronavirus cases have surged above 6000 on Monday night.

This was contained in the figures released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), via its twitter handle this night.

BIGPEN reports from the info graphic released by the NCDC, the country recorded additional nine deaths between Sunday and Monday across the states of the federation.

As of Sunday, Nigeria had 182 deaths but now has 191 thus recorded nine new deaths within 24 hours across the nation.

Announcing the figures, NCDC said that 74 new cases were recorded in Lagos, 33 in Katsina, 19 in Oyo, 17 in Kano, 13 in Edo and 10 in Zamfara.

The tweet also shows that Ogun, Gombe and Borno, recorded eight cases each while Bauchi and Kwara had seven cases, the Federal Capital Territoty had four, while Kaduna, Enugu, and Rivers had 3,3 2 respectively.

So far, the country has recorded a total of 6175 cases of COVID-19 with 1644 discharged and 191 deaths recorded.
