My Rapid Diagnostic Test For COVIDー19 Came Back Negative – Obaseki

Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo state, on Thursday says his rapid test for COVID-19 came back negative.
Governor Obaseki stated this in his verified twitter handle @GovernorObaseki on Thursday afternoon, saying that despite the test he will remain in self-isolation and continue his duty as governor from his private office at home.
“My rapid diagnostic test for #COVIDー19 came back negative. However, while still asymptomatic, I have decided to remain in self-isolation and continue working from my private office at home pending the result of the more conclusive PCR test”, he tweeted.
The decision to under took the test and self-quarantine in his home was stemmed from him having contact with the Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammed and Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, who have both tested positive for coronavirus.
BIGPEN had reported that the governor will be tested regularly over the coming days and will continue to conduct his duties as governor from home until his blood sample which has been sent for testing is out.
