The decision to under took the test and self-quarantine in his home was stemmed from him having contact with the Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammed and Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, who have both tested positive for coronavirus.

BIGPEN had reported that the governor will be tested regularly over the coming days and will continue to conduct his duties as governor from home until his blood sample which has been sent for testing is out.
