JUST IN: Detainee, Sowore Departs DSS Facility As FG Orders His Release

The convener of #RevolutionNow protests, Mr Omoyele Sowore has left the facility of the Department of State Services (DSS).

Sowore was released following an order by Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation to the DSS on Tuesday.

Malami, in a statement also asked the secret police to release Sambo Dasuki, former national security adviser (NSA) who was held in custody since 2015.

Malami had said that the decision to release them was in compliance with the bail granted the duo by the court.

It was not clear if the former NSA has also been released as at press time Tuesday evening.
