Kogi Election: How Thugs Attack PDP Guber Candidate’s Convoy, Killed One

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Depmocratic Party in Kogi state, Mr. Musa Wada was reportedly attacked by suspected thugs, leaving one Yusuf Uhiene dead.
Wada’s campaign council said the governorship candidate was heading to Anyigba in Dekina Local Government Area of the state on Saturday when thugs ambushed his convoy.
The Deputy Director, Public Communication, Austin Okai, of the PDP in a statement, said the rate of attacks was becoming a threat to the conduct of the November 16 governorship election in the state.
According to him,”Our candidate, Engr Musa Wada was in Anyigba (Saturday) to attend the Kogi East PDP stakeholders meeting. Between the main road and Harbour bay, the venue of the meeting, APC thugs unleashed mayhem on our supporters killing one and injuring two others,” he said.
He further confirmed that the PDP chairman for Anyigba ward, Alhaji Amidu, has made a formal complaint to the police over the attack.
