Reps Deliberates Motion Seeking To Take Over Edo Assembly, Set up Committee
The House of Representatives on Tuesday delibrated and consider a motion seeking to take over the functions of the Edo House of Assembly in line with the constitution.
This according to the sponsors of the motion is a matter of urgent public importance and in view of the crisis rocking the legislative house.
However, the motion was tendered during plenary on Tuesday by Julius Ihonvbere, Peters Akpatason, and Johnson Oghuma and it is to enable the proper inauguration of Edo State Assembly.
According to ChannelsTV, during the deliberations, some lawmakers asked for investigation before the House takes the final decision.
The House thereafter resolved to set up a committee to investigate the ongoing situation.
