Emefiele Breaks Jinx, Gets Senate Confirmation For Second Term As CBN Governor

Godwin Emefiele, Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN on Thursday ended the 1999 era where governors’ of the apex bank never gets a second term to implement their work plans.

This is as the senate has formally confirmed his reappointment by President Muhammadu Buhari for second term as CBN Governor.

Emefiele was earlier on Wednesday against all odds given a clean bill of health by the senate committee on banking, insurance and other financial institutions which submitted its report today for consideration.
