“The Operation will be under my direct supervision. The Personnel for this operation are drawn from the conventional Police and tactical Units such as, Mobile Police Force, Special Protection Unit, Quick Response Squad, Anti-Cultism and Kidnapping Squad, State Intelligence and Investigation Bureau(SIIB) amongst other Units.”

Adeleke urged Officers and men of the new Special Squad to be very professional in their operations and ensure they operate within the ambit of the law and in a manner that project the image of the Nigeria Police Force in the eyes of its citizenry.

“It should also be understood that no police organization can succeed without the cooperation of the public it serves. Police professionalism has been described as keeping close to the public. The successes of a police force in the performance of its duties are largely measured by the degree of support and cooperation it receives from the people it serves.
