Delta Acting Gov, Otuaro Commends Anioma Group, OFAAC On Peace Building

The Acting Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, has commended members for the Advancement Of Anioma Culture ( OFAAC) for their commitment and total support for the administration of Governor Okowa.
Deacon Otuaro, who received members of the Organisation for the Advancement Of Anioma Culture, at the conference hall in his office, appreciate them for their effort in ensuring that the Governor and himself had a resounding victory at the polls, explaining that without their support and those of other Deltans, there wouldn’t otherwise have been a second term.
The Acting Governor added, “going by what you stand for as peace builders, there can not be meaningful growth in infrastructure, economy, wealth, health and education without peace”
He explained further that the symbol of peace by the Anioma group is in Terdum with the administration of the Delta State government , stressing that government’s programmes are centered around peace,
The Acting Governor remarked that the people can only add value to themselves if they appreciate their Culture, pointing out that what they stand for is very significant by supporting policies of government
He added that “we take serious cognisance to ensure that we are peaceful, since without peace, we can not achieve success in the health sector, educational sector and development of the entire state , we are very happy for what you stand for, and we want to thank you for the invitation extended to me”
The President of the organisation of the Advancement Of Anioma people, Arch Kester Ifeanyi, who earlier presented his address to the Acting Governor of Delta State, Dcn. Barr. Burutu Otuaro, congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and his Deputy, Dcn. Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, on their resounding victory at the polls.
He told the Acting Governor that they were in his office to also formerly invite him to their cultural festival coming up soon and to inform him what their body stand for.
The President revealed that the body established 16 years ago was put in place to promote the cultural heritage of their people and as well stand as a bridge amongst other tribes in Delta State for the sustaince of peaceful co-extence amongst all Deltans.
Arch. Ifeanyi explained to the Acting Governor that their goal “is to preserve , promote appreciate and develop the rich cultural heritage of Anioma people and Nigeria in general, Anioma cultural festival is deeply rooted, and that Anioma communities take pride in their traditional heritage”
He explained that the festival attracts their children at home and in the diaspora on yearly basis and that from its inception, the Governor of the state had also assisted them immensely.
Those who graced the occasion include, the Obi of Akumazi, the Obi of Esuku, the Obi of Ubuluku and the coordinator of OFAAC, Mr Andy Obi and many others.
Those on the Governor side are, Chief Patrick Ukah, commissioner for information, Emma Chinese, Commissioner for culture and tourism, Hon. Karo llolo, Youth Development, senior special adviser to the Governor on interrelation, Hon. Edwin Uzor, Peace Building, Hon. Steve Eruotor, Deputy Chief of Staff and others.
