Emerhor’s Senate-Elect Claim An Acts Of A Drowning Man – Omo-Agege’s Aide

The Senior Special Adviser, Communications and Strategy, to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Mr Godwin Anaughe has described Olorogun O’tega Emerhor’s claims that he is the Senator-Elect of Delta Central Senatorial District as ludicrous and akin to acts of a drowning man.
Anaughe, who also said that “Olorogun O’tega Emerhor’s political career has now entered the hospice phase.” also accused Emerhor of conspiring with others to derail Urhobo’s march to Greatness.
Anaughe in a statement on Friday while reacting to Emerhor’s recent outburst, said: “He (Emerhor) knows he’s dying politically and wants to use his last-gasp drive to pull Senator Ovie Omo-Agege down and in the process derail Urhobo’s march to Greatness.
“Otherwise how else can anyone explain Emerhor’s statement that ‘Omo-Agege was at no time the candidate of the party nor was he at any time the Senator-Elect.
“How can a man who worked so hard to ensure that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege was defeated in the election suddenly turn around to claim victory when his efforts failed,” Anaughe asked, adding that “it makes absolutely no sense”
“APC got only 13 votes in Emerhor’s unit in Evwreni ward 5, whereas PDP got 287. Also in unit 1, Evwreni, the unit of the Executive Director, Projects, Niger Delta Development Commission, APC lost in the senate election with 24 votes compared to PDP’s 188 votes.
“The fact is that Emerhor and his crumbling political empire can rally for a little while, but his alternate reality can’t win. Omo-Agege remains Senator-Elect and will serve out his hard earned new tenure. Where was Emerhor when Omo-Agege was going from community to community and ward to ward campaign.”
“We always knew that Emerhor wanted to be a senator, but no one could have imagined that he will adopt this kind of immoral tactics.
“In 2013 he ran for senate in the by-election following the death of Chief Pius Ewherido and lost with 29,075 votes, losing to PDP’s Chief Emmanuel Agwariavwodo with 263,024 votes. In 2015 he ran for Governorship and came third behind Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa and Chief Great Ogboru with only 67,825 votes. And in 2018 he lost control of Delta State APC.
“These loses can frustrate a man. We can understand that. But not to the extent of conspiring with other people against the interest of his people. Emerhor knows he cannot enforce that judgement he is pinning his hopes on yet he continues to deceive his followers. Why this kind of desperation that dying people exhibit before passing on. This will not advance his political interest in any way”, Anaughe warned.
“His claim that he is now the Senator-Elect is clearly the antics of a dying man. How could Emerhor open his mouth to say he is now the Senator-Elect of Delta Central Senatorial District, in an election he did everything to ensure his party’s defeat.
“Emerhor can say anything he wants but no one takes him seriously anymore. He has become an embarrassment to the Urhobo people.
“He seems to have lost grip on reality but the Urhobo people have not and they know that they reelected Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to represent them in the 9th senate, not Emerhor who has no electoral value beyond Evwreni.”, Anaughe declared.
