2019: Onowakpo Endorsed As Preferred Choice For Isoko Federal Constituency

The All Progressives Congress candidate for Isoko South and North Federal Constituency, Mr. Joel Onowakpo-Thomas has received multiple endorsement from several groups and constituents in Isoko, Delta State.
Among those who have endorsed the leading House of Representatives candidate irrespective of their political affiliations are non-indigenes comprises of the Igbos, the Yorubas, the Binis, the Aniomas, the Hausas and the Ijaws, who reside in Isoko land.
Also, in the chain of groups who are showing keen interest in his election are members of the Motorcycle/Tricycle Riders’ Union, Artisans as well as a group of petty trader, known as Yanga Market Women.
This is coming barely few weeks after some PDP members led by Prince Anthony Ovrawah had publicly declared their support for Onowakpo, saying that he is the only one with the kind of large following needed to oust Ogor’s monopoly of the position.
BigPen Online reports that the Isoko apex social-cultural organization, Isoko Development Union, IDU and traditional rulers in Isoko ethnic nationality had also signalled their preference for Onowakpo’s candidacy to represent Isoko Federal Constituency in the next dispensation.
Several other groups and prominent individuals in Isoko Federal Constituency have also threw their weight behind his election bid, no wonder the APC governorship campaign in Isoko has an overwhelmed turnout.
The various groups have vowed to end the 16 years monopoly of the incumbent PDP lawmaker, Leo Ogor by mobilising their members enmass in irrespective of their political affiliations to elect Onowakpo in the next month national assembly election.
Specifically, a delegations of non-indigenes, some of whom are members of the PDP led Mr. Cigomet Bullet, Alhaji Saduka, and Engr Shola Oladipo had last week adopted the APC candidate as their preferred choice for the February election when they met with him at Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Council Area.
The market women group which also pledged their unalloyed support to Hon Joel-Onowakpo to speed up progress and development of Isoko nation were led on the visit by Mrs Patience Udoro.
Meanwhile, in continuation of his campaign, the Joel Onowakpo Thomas Campaign (JOT) Council has commenced door-to-door campaign across the federal constituency.
Onowakpo accompanied by the Director General, DG of the Campaign Organization, Hon Silas Buowe, and DG Ithihikpebe Campaign Organization for JOT4REP 2019, Arc Ambrose Okuhor, among others are currently reaching out to key stakeholders in the constituency.
