Dr Cairo Ojougboh, one of the former Delta State governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC), says he would never accept being a running mate to Chief Great Ogboru, who is his party governorship candidate.

Ojougboh spoke in a statement by his Media Office, dismissing rumour making the round that he has been nominated as Ogboru’s running mate ahead 2019 governorship election.

He said that his preoccupation is to bring the party together ahead 2019 in one accord, resolve all the lingering differences and have a lasting peace so as to face the upcoming general elections as one family and come out victorious.

The statement obtained by BigPen Online entitled: Dr Cairo Ojougboh As Running MATE To Chief Great Ogboru, read in full: “It has come to the attention of Dr Cairo Ojougboh, the APC gubernatorial aspirant in the primaries of 2018 and his team, that he has accepted to become the running mate to Chief Great Ogboru.

“We are making it clear for the interest of the public and unsuspecting APC family, that there is no discussion or any arrangement of such.

“This only exist in the imagination of people not known to him, Dr Cairo Ojougboh is not a Deputy Governor aspirant or candidate and can never be interested.

“Dr Cairo Ojougboh distances self from such and has asked the general public to jettison such rumours as his only disposition now is how the party can pull together in one accord, resolve all the lingering differences and have a lasting peace so as to face the upcoming general elections as one family and come out victorious”.
