Stop Bickering, Our Target Is To Send Okowa Packing, Oshiomhole Speaks On Delta APC Crisis

National Chairman of Nigeria’s ruling party, All Progressive (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has responded to the bickering over his recent swearing in of Prophet Jones Erie as Delta state chapter’s chairman of the party.

Chief Press Secretary of the APC national chairman, Simon Ebegbelum in a statement Tuesday night obtained by BigPen Online, said the uncomplimentary comments about the swearing in may be coming from the opposition PDP who are shivering over the resolve of the APC to capture Delta State in 2019.

The statement read in full: “My attention has been drawn to some misleading and mischievous comments emanating from a section of our APC members following the swearing in of Prophet Jones Ode Erue, as the Delta State chairman of the All Progressives Congress by the National Working Committee of our great party.

“I want to believe that these comments are coming from the opposition PDP who are shivering over the resolve of the new National chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to ensure that Delta State becomes an APC state ahead the 2019 general elections.

“I want to state that the new leadership of the APC believes in the rule of law and will not do anything to subvert the constitution of the nation and that of the APC.

“The issue in Delta APC has been on before now and foĺlowing the decision of a competent court the NWC of the APC followed suit and Prophet Erue emerged as Chairman.

“So it will be wrong for mischief makers to start making uncomplimentary statements against the national chairman of the APC, Comrade Oshiomhole.

“On the day of the swearing in, Oshiomhole stressed the need for all stakeholders to come together and ensure victory for the party in the coming governorship election.

“Genuine members of the party who are not satisfied with the decision have access to the national leadership to get clarifications rather than engage in unnecessary warfare on social media.

“The National chairman had stressed the need for party members to make sacrifices so we can win Delta State and only people who are being sponsored by the opposition will be making derogatory statements against the leadership.

“Oshiomhole emerged through consensus and he is there to protect the interest of all genuine members of the party.

“Rather than fighting ourselves on social media let’s reserve that energy in strategizing on how to fight the opposition PDP and send Dr Ifeanyi Okowa packing from Asaba government House through one man one vote.

“The National chairman is determined and I will appeal to all our members in Delta State to join hands so we can save Delta State from the hands of the People Deceive People.

“Like the National chairman said, together we can make it and it will always be a win win situation for all our members. God bless you all”.
