Patience Jonathan Trashes EFCC In Court Over Bid To Seize $8.4m, N7.35bn Linked To Her

Nigeria’s anti graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has lost its bid to seize the funds in 15 bank accounts linked to former President, Patience Jonathan.
A federal high court in Lagos rejected the commission’s bid to seize the funds totalling $8.4 million and over N7.35 billion following EFCC ex parte application seeking to seize the funds.
The presiding judge, Mojisola Olatoregun, held that the bank accounts in question were already involved in a litigation process before two other courts.
