The police boss in charge of “B” Division, Warri, Delta state, CSP Annette Eyoh has assured investors of a safer environment, saying that the police will do everything possible to ensure that businesses are protected in Warri.

He spoke recently during the inspection of the construction work at the site of Brown-Hill Events Centre, Ogunu in Warri, being erected by President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick in the metropolis.

The police boss said that they will do everything possible within their powers to ensure criminal elements are flushed out of the city of Warri and its environs in order to make it more business conducive for investors and the people.

“We must protect our investors and to achieve this, we must create a peaceful environment for doing business, Eyoh said.

Meanwhile, the NFF President who was accompanied in the inspection tour by Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Michael Tidi, has called on oil and gas companies who had deserted Warri to return.

He assured that the Warri atmosphere is now peaceful and conducive for business to thrive.

Speaking on the expanded structural edifice of the world-class event centre, with a projected capacity of between 1,600 to 2,000 persons, Mr. Pinnick said that the project will be one of the biggest event centres in Nigeria when completed in four months’ time.

He however said that Warri South, under Hon. Tidi’ leadership would regain its lost glory, saying as “a very young, progressive and visionary Chairman”, with Tidi’s kind of leadership, investors need to come to Warri to do business and pay taxes, because according to him, “that is the way this town (Warri) can improve”.

In the same vein, the Warri South Chairman, Hon. Tidi who expressed delight with the multimillion naira project, commended the investor for his contributions toward the redevelopment of Warri.

While saying that his administration was doing everything to improve the environment, Tidi appealed to those who left the metropolis, including companies to return.
