Isoko South Chair Warri Friday Charges NUIS to Be Worthy Ambassadors

The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. (Comr.) Friday Ovoke Warri, has tasked members of the National Union of Isoko Students Worldwide (NUIS Worldwide) to be good ambassadors of the union and the Isoko nation wherever they find themselves.

Warri gave the charge on Tuesday when the leadership of NUIS Worldwide, led by its National President, Precious Idebe, paid a courtesy visit to the council chairman at his office in Oleh, the headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area.

The council chairman, who was once a leader of NUIS, shared insightful words of advice and encouragement with the union’s executives, urging them to remain united, responsible, peaceful, law-abiding, disciplined, and committed to positively representing the interests and aspirations of Isoko students.

Warri emphasized the importance of unity and purposeful leadership among the students, noting that their positions in NUIS come with responsibilities that extend beyond their individual interests. He encouraged the executives to always put the welfare and educational advancement of Isoko students first while maintaining mutual respect, transparency, and accountability in the discharge of their duties.

He further urged them to shun actions capable of causing division among Isoko students and instead work collectively to promote peace, academic excellence, and meaningful development. According to him, the quality of leadership exhibited by the current generation of students would go a long way in shaping the future of the Isoko nation.

The chairman also assured the NUIS leadership of his administration’s willingness to support initiatives that would positively impact the educational and general welfare of Isoko students, stressing that education remains a vital tool for individual advancement and community development.

Speaking earlier, the NUIS Worldwide National President, Precious Idebe, on behalf of the executive, expressed sincere appreciation to the council chairman and members of his management team for their warm reception and willingness to collaborate with the union in advancing initiatives aimed at promoting the educational and general welfare of Isoko students.

Idebe said the courtesy visit provided an opportunity for constructive engagement, relationship-building, and meaningful dialogue on issues affecting the welfare, education, development and overall well-being of Isoko students.

The visit also provided an avenue for the NUIS leadership to strengthen its relationship with the Isoko South Local Government Council and explore areas of possible collaboration for the benefit of students and the wider Isoko community.

Members of the NUIS Worldwide executive present during the visit included the National President, Precious Idebe; National Vice President; Secretary-General; Assistant Secretary-General; Financial Secretary; Public Relations Officer II; and Inter-Relations Committee (IRC) representatives from various institutions.
