The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State chapter has dismissed alleged removal of the Chairman of Aniocha North Chapter of the party, Prince Victor Egbune.

BigPen Online recalls that Egbune who was slammed with a vote of no confidence, was sacked over alleged misconduct, incompetence, misappropriation of party funds, fictionalisation of the party, among other allegations.

His purported removal was signed by 10 out of 14 members of the LGA Executive Committee of the party who earlier passed a vote of no confidence on him and notified the state Chairman of the party about it.

In a swift reaction, State Publicity Secretary of PDP, Mr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, said “we view with disgust and palpable apprehension the fake news making the rounds to the effect that, the Chairman of our Aniocha North Chapter, Prince Victor Egbune has been removed.

“For the benefit of the unsuspecting public, we wish to make it abundantly clear that non of our twenty-five chapters has intractable issues.

“The said fake news is baseless, unfounded, tendentious, malicious and deliberately calculated to mislead the general public and should be disregarded in its entirety.
