Mr. Innocent Chukwuma, the Chairman of Nigeria’s automobile company, Innoson Motors, has rejected the bail granted to him by anti-gatf agency. the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC).

BigPen Online recalls that EFCC’s Wilson Uwujeren in a statement on Wednesday evening says the commission has released Mr Chukwuma on bail.

“You can’t come and pick me like a criminal only to ask me to go without telling me why you arrested me on the first place” (sic), Chukwuma told operatives of the EFCC on Wednesday after he was released by the anti-graft agency.

Chukwuma’s company also punctured several of allegations advanced by the anti-graft agency as reasons for the arrest, saying “EFCC also claimed that Dr Chukwuma is being investigated by the Capital Market and Insurance Fraud Unit of the Commission’s Lagos office. We equally challenge EFCC to show proof of this investigation”.
