President Buhari Nominates Ojukwu As Human Rights Commission ES, Requests Senate Confirmation

President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Anthony Ojukwu as the executive secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

In a report available to BigPen Online, President Buhari had in a letter to the senate which was read by Senate President, Bukola Saraki nominated Ojukwu and requested the senate to confirm the nominee according to the act of the commission.

“In accordance with provisions of section 8 of the National Human Rights Commission amendment act 2010, I have the pleasure to present Mr. Anthony Okechukwu Ojukwu as the executive secretary of the National Human Rights Commission by the senate. Please find attached copies of his curriculum vitae”.

Mr. Anthony Ojukwu once confirmed by the senate will take over from Mrs. Oti Ovrawah who has been the Ag. Executive secretary of the commission.
