The people of Oghara-Iyede in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta state over the weekend disgraced the Commissioner for Housing in Delta State, Arch. Joe .A. Ogeh as they booed and rejected his ‘Kolanut wedge’ offered to them.

It was learnt that the rejection followed accusations that the Commissioner had poorly represented his people since his appointment.

Kolanut, in a traditional setting are supported with money which act as a wedge so that the kola nut does not roll off and fall to the ordinary ground.

“The people rejected the commissioner’s three Hundred thousand Naria for kolanut and was pointblankly told that it will no longer be business as usual in a situation where they always use money to deny them of their rights and entitlements.

The people, specifically accused Ogeh of doing nothing about the deplorable state of Iyede roads having served as DESOPADEC commissioner and currently Housing Commissioner.
