Ahead of Delta State 2019 general election, a chieftain of the South-South Peoples Assembly in Delta State, Chief Godwin Ogbetuo (JP) and teaming supporters numbering over 3000 have dumped the ruling party in the State, PDP, for the All Progressive Congress (APC) the main opposition party in the State.

Chief Ogbetuo in his speech at Samagidi-Kokori said that he has decamped to the APC in the past, but he has to formally declare it to his people in Ward 10 and win all his followers and potential PDP members to the APC.

Ogbetuo said that to move forward in Nigeria, APC remains the only party with meaningful programmes for development.

He noted that most of the roads that are not constructed or abandoned by PDP would be done by APC government in Delta State come 2019, adding that education would be improved upon and essential services will also be improved upon by APC government in the State.

According to him “We should support what is good. APC stands for the good of the people. We should all work hard to achieve success. APC is for all and we ask more people to join us. Let us be united and work to defeat Okowa in 2019. Election is comings, we should all work hard and vote for APC in all the elections” he added.

A stalwart of the APC in Delta State, Hon. Solomon Edojah said people have suffered under the PDP and he and the APC members are trying to put an end to suffering and pain under the PDP.

Chief Edojah stated that the time has come when marginalization and imposition of candidate by PDP must be stopped by voting in APC in Delta state.

According to him “Imposition of candidate is a common trend in PDP and majority votes does not count. It is sad. I was in PDP for 14 years and achieve nothing; so I decided to switch over to APC where the light shines for all APC members and there is hope”.

He urged all APC members to work hard to promote APC and should not be afraid because there is hope, assuring that APC will capture Delta State in 2019.

A leader of APC in Delta State Central, Chief Ejiroghene Bodjor said that APC has a target and that target is to take over Delta State, adding that they have started that journey towards securing Delta State.

He noted that APC was quite determined to achieve that desire.

“We shall doggedly follow the direction of our dependable leader Chief Godwin Ogbetuo for his vision and determination.

Chief Godwin Okpako an APC leader in Ethiope East urged members to be hard working because there are tough PDP leaders in Ethiope East that must be dislodged politically for APC to succeed.
