Benin-born Businessman, Ericson Uzamere, Wife Confer With Chieftaincy Title In Ogor, Delta State

A Benin-born businessman, Ericson Uzamere alongside his wife, Nancy have been conferred with the chieftancy title in Ogor, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state.
Uzamere was confer with the title of “Ugbenuigho” of Ogor Kingdom while his wife was confer with the title of “Ogheneruemu” of Ogor Kingdom at a grandeur ceremony held on Sunday in Ogor community.
With this, the duo can now be addressed as “Olorogun” after performing the various traditional rite which qualify them to be conferred with the titles respectively.
Preforming the ceremony at his palace, the paramount traditional ruler of Ogor Kingdom, HRM Okiemute Onajite Igere I urged the recipients not to relent in their support for the Kingdom and humanity.
He enjoined the recipients to abide by the rules and regulations biding an “Olorogun” title holder.
One of such laws is that an “Olorogun” is forbidden from climbing a palm tree, eating in a roadside restaurant known in local parlance as “buker” as well as running for cover during rain fall among others.
The recipients were also initiated into the Council of Chiefs and Olorogun family in the Kingdom after performing the second stage of Chieftaincy rite.
An elated Uzamere, expressed thanked to the monarch for considering him and his wife worthy to be confer with the coveted titles in the Kingdom, saying that the title would only spur them to do more to impact humanity.
“We are happy about this honor, on behalf of my lovely wife I want to thank the monarch and the good people of Ogor Kingdom for recognizing our little contributions, and I want to say this would spur us to do more to develop the community”, Uzamere said.
