EFCC Detectives Arrest Fmr DSS DG, Ekpeyong

Detectives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested Mr. Ita Ekpeyong, former Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS).

He was picked up after they raided his Asokoro home in Abuja on Thursday afternoon.

Reports say Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo gave order for his arrest after sacking immediate past DG of the agency, Lawal Daura and meeting both EFCC Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu and the new DSS DG, Matthew Seyeifa.

BigPen Online recalls that EFCC had secured a court order to arrest Ekpeyong in November 2017 but were prevented by DSS officials deployed by Daura.
