The immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, has commended the four Local Government Chairmen in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in Delta State for the satisfactory and excellent performance.

Elumelu made the commendation in his goodwill message as the four Local Government Chairmen mark their one-year in office having been sworn-in on July 15, 2024, alongside other Council Chairmen in the State, by the Delta State Governor, Rt.Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.

The four Council Chairmen include Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye (Aniocha North Local Government), Hon. Jude Chukwunwike (Aniocha South Local Government), Hon. Innocent Esewezie (Oshimili North Local Government), and Hon. Obi Kelvin Ezenyili (Oshimili South Local Government).

In a statement on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, Elumelu described their performances in their various Council Areas as people-oriented and in line with Governor Oborevwori, More Agenda and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope mantra.

The renowned Politician and Federal Lawmaker commended the Council Chairmen for working with the Governor in bringing development to the grassroots, noting that the much-aspirated Local Government autonomy can only work effectively with capable hands like those in the four local government councils in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.

While appreciating the various Vice Chairmen for their unwavering support, Elumelu also commended the Local Government Legislative Arms, led by their respective Leaders, for their collaboration and cooperation, which have significantly contributed to the Chairmen’s performances.

“I also take this opportunity to greet the efforts of the Secretaries to the four Local Governments and the Supervisors for working in synergy with the Council Chairmen in bringing about grassroots development in our various communities in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.

“I commend and congratulate you all for keying into the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori. I know that he is very proud of you all, just as I am very excited and satisfied with your wonderful performance in administering the various Councils in our Federal Constituency,” he said.

While urging the Council Chairmen to maintain the tempo of grassroots development, the former Minority Leader admonished them to continue to carry the youths along in all they do as a government.

He also urged them to put more effort into the area of security, maintaining that the security and welfare of the people remain the critical reasons and responsibilities of any government.
