BREAKING: IGP Redeploys New Police Chiefs To Edo, Ondo, Nine Others Commands

The Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Muhammed Abubakar Adamu, has ordered the immediate posting/redeployment of eleven Commissioners of Police to various police commands/formations across the nation.

This was contained in a statement by Force Public Relation Officer, DCP Frank Mba in Abuhja on Thursday.

The statement said that the Inspector General of Police charged the newly posted officers to ensure they consolidate and advance the gains of their predecessors particularly in the implementation of community-policing, crime prevention, public security, public safety and general crime fighting.

The IGP also enjoins the citizens of the affected states to cooperate with the Commissioners of Police to enable them succeed in their new areas of responsibilities.

The affected officers are:

  1. Osun State – CP Undie J. Adie
  2. Edo State – CP Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, mni
  3. Bauchi State – CP Lawal Jimeta Tanko
  4. Ebonyi State – CP Philip Sule Maku, fd
  5. Gombe State – CP Ahmed Maikudi Shehu
  6. Ondo State – CP Bolaji Amidu Salami
  7. Oyo State – CP Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu
  8. Eastern Port – CP Evelyn T. Peterside
  9. EOD – CP Okon Etim Ene, fdc
  10. Airport Command – CP Bello Maikwashi
  11. Anti-Fraud Unit (FCID Annex Lagos) – CP Olukolu Tairu Shina
