The United States Of America, US chapter of the Nigeria’s opposition party, Africa Action Congress ( AAC), has passed a vote of confidence on its presidential candidate and national chairman of the party, Omoyele Sowore.

The party however lambasted its estranged national secretary, Dr. Leonard Ezenwa who alongside some ‘disgruntled elements’ purportedly claimed that they suspended the National Chairman of the party.

In a statement obtained by BIGPEN ONLINE on Friday signed by Mr. Oladotun Ogunleye, Chairman AAC, USA and Lanre Balogun, Secretary General AAC, USA, the party asked the said Ezenwa to hence forth desist from parading himself as the acting chairman of the party.

The statement reads, “We can only have one chairman; that person is the convener of our movement and founder of our party,Comrade Omoyele sowore.

“AAC is an ideological party that is committed to bringing hope and restoring the pride of the people of Nigeria. All attempts by Dr. Leonard and his co-sponsors to distract the good people of Nigeria who are subscribing to the ideas of our great party on daily basis are bound to fail

“We therefore express our vote of confidence in the leadership of Comrade Omoyele Sowore as the authentic national chairman, and  remain resolute in bringing about a new Nigeria built on justice and fairness”.
