The Isoko South Local Government of Delta State has taken a major step towards ensuring a reliable power supply at its new ultra-modern administrative secretariat with the delivery of a 125 KVA mini farm solar system comprising 200 solar panels of 550 watts each.

The initiative, under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Comr.) Friday Ovoke Warri, is designed to provide a dependable and sustainable power solution for the new secretariat ahead of the commencement of full operations and to also boost workers’ efficiency and to cut costs in electricity.

The solar installation is expected to significantly reduce interruptions associated with conventional power supply and provide a stable working environment for council officials.

Speaking on the development, Warri said the decision to deploy the Mini Farm Solar System was part of his administration’s deliberate effort to equip the new secretariat with modern infrastructure capable of supporting efficient administration and quality service delivery.

He said, “The provision of this 125 KVA Mini Farm Solar System, with 200 solar panels of 550 watts each, is a deliberate investment in the future of Isoko South Local Government. We want this new secretariat to operate as a modern administrative center where our workers can perform their duties effectively without unnecessary interruptions caused by inadequate power supply.

“We understand that reliable electricity is critical to the effective functioning of any modern administrative institution. That is why we have taken this proactive step to provide a sustainable energy solution for the secretariat. Our objective is not merely to provide power but to create the right environment for our staff to be more productive and for government services to be delivered efficiently to our people.

“This project demonstrates our commitment to modernizing local government administration and providing infrastructure that meets the needs of the people. The new secretariat is being developed as a facility that will reflect the standard of administration we desire for Isoko South. I am particularly pleased with the progress of work at the secretariat, and we are working towards making the facility fully operational as soon as possible. We want our people to have access to a modern administrative centre where their needs can be attended to in a professional and efficient manner.

“I want to assure the people of Isoko South that our administration will continue to pursue practical projects that have direct impact on their lives. We will remain focused on improving infrastructure, strengthening public service delivery, and creating a better working environment for our council employees.”

The 125 KVA Mini Farm Solar System, powered by 200 units of 550-watt solar panels, is expected to provide a significant renewable energy source for the administrative complex and support its day-to-day operations.

Meanwhile, work on the new ultra-modern administrative secretariat is progressing steadily, with the council expressing optimism that full operations at the facility will commence sooner than initially projected.

The development further underscores the commitment of the Warri-led administration to modern infrastructure, sustainable energy solutions, and improved service delivery in Isoko South Local Government Area.
