Ahead of the 2027 general elections, political momentum has gathered pace in Delta North Senatorial District as no fewer than 56 immediate past All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Chairmen unanimously declared their unwavering support for the senatorial ambition of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

The high-powered delegation made the declaration on Sunday during a strategic courtesy visit to Senator Okowa at his residence in Asaba.

The former ward chairmen used the platform to reaffirm their absolute commitment to the unity, growth, and overall electoral success of the party across the district.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the leader of the group and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, Comrade Ossai J. Ossai, said that the former ward chairmen remain staunch, loyal members of the APC.

He noted that the group is fully mobilized to drive extensive grassroots campaigns for Senator Okowa’s aspiration while securing victory for all party candidates in the forthcoming polls.

“We are determined to work tirelessly, not only for our principal, Senator Okowa, but to ensure total victory for the party across board,” Comrade Ossai stated.

“Our approach will be all-inclusive. We are immediately embarking on extensive reconciliation and mobilization efforts, reaching out to party faithful across all wards, particularly those who may have felt aggrieved or marginalized during previous internal party processes.”

He stressed that true reconciliation, inclusiveness, and a sense of collective responsibility remain the vital ingredients required to secure a resounding victory for the APC in 2027.

Speaking during the interactive session, some members of the delegation also voiced candid concerns regarding their experiences during recent party congresses.

They appealed for broader inclusion, formal recognition, and deeper participation in the party’s mainstream activities moving forward.

Responding, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa warmly welcomed the delegation, expressing deep appreciation for their solidarity, steadfast loyalty, and commitment to the progressive vision of the party.

He assured the former ward chairmen that the APC remains a united house focused on a common goal.
