Twenty-one vehicles have been Impounded by operatives of Delta State Police Command, in its continued commitment to enforcing traffic regulations and improving public safety during an intelligence-led enforcement operation conducted across Abraka and Ozoro.

State Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe, in a statement, said that on 21st July 2026, at about 1500 hours, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, led command operatives on an enforcement patrol targeting traffic violations and other offences.

Edafe said that during the operation, 21 vehicles were impounded for various offences, including non-display of registration number plates, covered number plates, and expired vehicle particulars.

The affected vehicles, he said will be subjected to the appropriate legal and administrative processes.

Meanwhile the state Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, has reiterated that vehicles without proper identification or valid documentation pose significant security risks and can be exploited to facilitate criminal activities.

The CP therefore urged motorists to comply with all extant traffic and vehicle registration regulations, warning that the command will continue intelligence-led enforcement operations across the State to promote public safety, strengthen security, and ensure strict compliance with the law.
